I love almost everything about this memory book. It includes pages for everything I wanted and had sections I didn't think of but am glad to have. In particular, I love how there are pages available for the father to add his family history, personality and experiences. My husband loves being included in these parts of being a parent. I also like how the topics for each section are somewhat neutral so whatever walk of life you are from, this book is likely to suit your needs. My only disappointment is that the surface of the pages is a little slick and the ink used to make our daughter footprints has never completely dried so we have to be careful not to smear it. You also want to use an archival permanent pen that dries quickly so you don't smear your writing (easy to find at art supply stores). But it really is the most perfect memory book!

This Beatrix Potter album makes a lovely keepsake for the memories of your baby. The looseleaf binder design allows you to remove the pages while you fill in the information and attach keepsakes, like hospital bracelets, newspaper clippings, birth announcements and 1st hand and feet prints. It provides information space for an ultra-sound picture, doctors visits, descriptions of mother and father, family photo, family tree, and of course all the 1sts: food, friend, babysitter, daycare, vacation, ect. It has pages to record birthdays and holidays for up to 5 years, doctor's visits, height, weight, immunization, and dental charts. It even includes clear plastic sheets for 8x10 portraits. All of these pages are decorated with quotes and illistration from the Beatrix Potter stories. I liked it so much I bought the same album for both my son and daughter.

This book is absolutely beautiful! The cover is gorgeous... the ivory on ivory flocking is so eleagant, as well as every page inside. Not only does the book cover EVERY milestone possible, but the pages themselves look straight out of a Beatrix Potter book. This will be for my 2nd child so I knew exactly what I wanted out of a baby book and this book definitely meets ALL of my requirements! It is wonderfully tasteful with an old-fashioned feel. (It reminds my Mom of my own baby book:) Needless to say I was thrilled with the purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a thorough record keeper for their new baby that will last through toddler years and beyond. I would also recommend the looseleaf option for the extra $10-- with time the bound books have a tendency to loose their pages. The looseleaf binder option assures you will never loose one of the pages we worked so hard to preserve all those precious memories on.

I loved the book when I received it - good quality, beautifully made. The only thing I wish it had (and this is purely a personal preference) is sheet protectors to cover the pages once they are filled out. My husband is a lefty and I'm always afraid he'll smear something while writing on an opposite page.

I bought for my first child opened it up and it had cute illustrations. It covers everything from how we the parents reacted when we found out my wife was pregnant to his shot records and more. I so satisfied with the purchase of the baby book that I went and bought the rest of the set.

The book itself is darling - has all the pages in it that we'd want (monthly updates, first holidays, all about my parents, the world when I was born, etc). The cover is beautiful and I love the format of the inside. Really, the only problem with it is that it has only three rings - it doesn't seem like it'll stand the test of time. I have this same book from when I was a baby, but that version must have 15 rings - it kept the pages together and never ripped in 30 years! Not enough to make me return it but it would be nice to make it sturdier.

The book arrived and was everything that I had expected. I love the fact that the pages are looseleaf, and that I can add to this book at any time. I bought it planning to cover it myself. However, I just love the book and in turn, decided not to cover it at all. We wanted to wait to find out the gender of our baby until the birth day. This book is a perfect neutral baby book.

I was excited to have found such a cute baby memory book but very disappointed when it finally arrived. On the surface it looks nice, but upon further inspection, it feels flimsy and cheap. [...]and ink it is printed with smells bad. Also, the binder rings don't fit together well, so the pages don't turn smoothly. When the book arrived, some of the pages were already slightly torn around the binder rings. It also includes some entry blanks that are not very well thought out, such as "new foods I liked" for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd month milestones. Even though I like Beatrix Potter, I would not purchase this memory book again or recommend it.

This was a gift for my daughter when she had her first child. I used the occasion to also present her with her own baby book, a Beatrix Potter from C.R. Gibson purchased 32 years ago! This new one is even prettier, and includes more Beatrix Potter characters and quotes. I really like the 3-ring binder format and all the open category pages useful for posting all those events, recitals, etc. that happen after the child starts school.The only thing that I wish it had is a plastic cover that fits directly over the book cover. It's a beautiful textured cover and likely to get lots of handling, so it should have more protection.

I have similar books for my other two children and was very happy to find a Peter Rabbit book that was similar to their books. I love it. Very cute and good for boy or girl.

I've had two other baby books by CR Gibson and this one is by far the best one! I love all the milestone pages for each month. In other books I've had to add my own pages and this one goes month by month with lots of room to write info about your baby. All the pages are adorable. Perfect book for if you don't know if your baby is a girl or a boy!
